Probate and Estate Administration
Dealing with the affairs of a loved one following a death can be a confusing, upsetting and stressful time. Dealing with administrative responsibilities associated with the death can add to this particularly challenging time.
We can provide assistance to the person responsible for administering an estate following someone’s death. For some, this may be simply advice or perhaps a fixed or capped fee to deal with a certain aspect, particularly, obtaining Grant of Representation (where there is a valid Will appointing an executor, this is Grant of Probate). We can also deal with the full estate administration on behalf of an executor.
How can a probate solicitor help?
Probate can be a complicated and daunting process. It requires skills in legal knowledge to interpret and perhaps determine how an estate is dealt with together with tax knowledge, accountancy and administration skills. We can assist with matters such as:
- Interpretation of the Will or advice on intestacy if there is no Will

- Advice on Trusts created by Will (or at times created by passing away without a Will)
